Der Experimental-Kurzfilm «Ein Film» stellt innerhalb von zwei Minuten die absolute Abstraktion des Lebens dar. Dabei werden Themen wie Geburt und der Tod, der wiederholende Prozess des Lebens, Liebe und Schmerz aber auch Krieg und Zerfall auf emotionaler Ebene angesprochen ohne eindeutige Bilder zu zeigen.
«Ein Film» verzichtet bewusst auf die Darstellung figurativer Komponente, mit der Ausnahme vom menschlichen Körper, der durch Mehrfachbelichtung und entfremdete Posen zum ästhetischen Objekt wird und die Betrachter mit einem existentiellen, emotionalen Wahnsinn konfrontiert.
Within two minutes, the experimental short film «A Movie» shows the absolute abstraction of life. It brings up different topics such as birth and death, the iterative process of life, love and pain, and also war and destruction at an emotional level, without showing explicit images.
«A Movie» deliberately refrains from figurative components, except of the human body and Marshmallows which are alienated by multiple exposure. That way it turns to an aesthetic object and confronts the viewer with an existential, emotional insanity.
